Amina, a new technology design and development
company in Cambridgeshire, let parts of their premises out
to other organisations. To ensure a safe and secure environment
both for Amina and their tenants, a CCTV monitoring system
was required. After evaluating a number of traditional analogue
tape-based and digital recording systems, they decided to
order a digital CCTV System. Employing no security-specific
staff, Amina required a system that would benefit from low
maintenance costs and minimal user intervention until incidents
needed to be reviewed. The system would be accessed by a 'non-technical'
person, therefore the interface had to be easy to understand
and simple to use.
The
System was installed in a secure area of the building and
now records information from six dedicated cameras. Using
the in-built camera scheduler, certain cameras can be allocated
different recording frame rates, motion detection areas and
times when individual cameras are 'live' and recording information
to the hard drive system. This also helps to save on hard
drive recording space and ensures the client no longer has
to run through hours of unnecessary recordings to find the
required images. |
