Advanced Security Systems based in Oldham have supplied a state of the art CCTV surveillance van for Blackburn City Council.

It features an Everfocus EDR810 8 channel mobile DVR to record CCTV images from camera's installed throughout the van.

An Everfocus EKB500 desktop controller allows for control of a speed dome camera mounted on a telescopic pole, as well as controlling all the functions of the DVR.

Providing access to live and recorded images remotely via a GPRS connection.

The mobile surveillance unit will be used for a wide variety of applications within the council's area including:
• Detering anti social behaviour
• Prevention of street crime
• Observing unlicensed activity in entertainment premises
• Gather evidence for court proceedings
• Identify persons wanted by the police
• Crowd control
• Emergency planning
• Monitoring of traffic flows and patterns on the roads
